Shape a better future with the Point Talk Method in 15 minutes a day.

“Our daughter's teacher asked us what we were doing at home and I showed her a picture of our girl and her learning posters.”
Verified buyerBy age five, your child's brain is 90% of its adult size. That means right now is an important time in their lives. Every word, letter and feeling is shaping who they become. Harvard researchers call it serve-and-return: a child reaches toward something, a parent answers, and a connection forms. The Point Talk Method brings those exchanges onto the walls of your home, so they happen in the course of an ordinary day. Fifteen minutes of play builds early reading, gives big feelings a name, and leaves your child asking for more.

A calmer way to learn
Every mother of a toddler has asked it: am I supposed to be doing something? The children at daycare are learning their letters. The reading kit you ordered is still in the cabinet. The one afternoon you tried to sit him down with flashcards, he lasted four minutes. Here is what the people who study early reading actually say: a three-year-old doesn’t need lessons.
They need conversation. Someone to point at the bunny and say bunny, at the B and say buh, at the frowning face and say sad. That ordinary back-and-forth is the foundation of reading, and of every feeling she’ll ever learn to name.
The Point Talk Method makes sure the right things are on the wall when that conversation happens. Hang them once, at her eye level. Let her point. Say the word. Fifteen minutes a day, in the kitchen, in the hallway, on the way to bed.
“I used to be a teacher and what's out there is so ugly. But these are gorgeous.”

THE POINT TALK METHOD
The one interaction researchers say builds a young brain fastest.

STEP 1
Put the posters where they already look: the fridge, the hallway, beside the bed. Their eye level is highly recommended.

STEP 2
Follow their finger. Whatever they're looking at, the sun, the S, the sad face, is the lesson for that moment. If she isn’t pointing you go first.

STEP 3
Name it. Say it back. Add one more word. That's the return, and it's what wires the brain.
Every child learns at their own pace, but fifteen minutes a day of learning that feels like play adds up faster than you’d expect.
What they're practicing

The heart behind Bloomwise
I'm Amanda. Three kids, a homeschool table in the kitchen, and zero patience for cartoon clutter.
I didn't invent serve-and-return. The researchers at Harvard did that. I just couldn't find a single poster I'd actually hang in my living room that gave my kids something worth pointing at. Everything was loud, plastic-looking, or made for a classroom.
So I drew my own. Simple enough for a two-year-old to understand, pretty enough that I didn't mind looking at them all day. They went up on our walls and something changed: the posters became the thing we talked about. A letter at breakfast. A feeling at bedtime. Fifteen minutes that added up.
That's the Point Talk Method. It isn't complicated, and that's the point. I hope it does for your walls what it did for ours.
XOXO Amanda
